Anybody on Feb 4th?

Hi, Claudia!  I have to call the hospital (University of Illinois) on 2/3/09 to find out the time I have to be there.  Will you be staying two days too?

Well they say two days but up to 5 if needed.  I have a 2 and 4 year old so I would LOVE to stay longer til I heal some more!   I have a hiatal hernia as well they are goingto take care of while they are in there.  I am happy I am getting this done but am not looking forward to the pain involved.  My surgion said it really isn' that bad...we'll see! 

Hi!  My date is February 4th as well!  I don't start my liquid diet until the Friday before...what's up with that? 

I am so excited and at the same time very nervous about recovery!!!  Fourteen days and counting!

Hi fluffyNcute at least only a week of liquids, I wish they would at least let me have some green veggies or salad I'm trying to keep strong, many before us have done it and can we .....Virginia

Call your doctors office and ask them if you can have some greens. Sometimes everything is misinformed  definitely make a call and ask.

Well, I thought I was starting liquids on Sunday.  But, after the surgeon saw me today and saw how much weight I'd gained since she saw me in October, she said to start tomorrow (Friday) instead.

...too funny...good luck!!!  I start on Saturday...only 4 days of liquids...not too bad....but the colon cleansing thing has me a bit freaked!  What have we signed up for??? 

Hi fluffyNcute, I left 2 messages for dietician and never returned my call, well maybe she'll return call tomorrow, I will be calling all day till I get someone to listen. This is day 2 and laid down all day feeling weak and light headed. My glucose has been staying steady on an average of about 160. I'll let you know if I get ahold of someone tomorrow. How's everyone else doing?
