On my way
I had my visit with the nut on the 31st of Dec. I got my 30 day pre op diet. So I am 5 days into it and down 9.6 pounds. I am really proud of myself. I see my surgeon on Tuesday Jan 6th for my pre op appointment. I am so excited. I hope that I get my surgery date at that time.
My husband has finally come around and is supporting me and my decision. He is even doing the diet with me somewhat. He has cut his portions back, but he is still eating carbs.

You must be really close if you are on the 30 day pre op diet. I see my dr. two weeks prior to my surgery date for my pre op. I don't think my dr. requres a 30 day pre op diet. I just have to lose or maintain where I am. I am trying to cut back like one of my handouts says, but I seem to be going through the last meal syndrome. It is great that your husband is supporting you. Mine is coming around too. I made a schedule on the computer tonight for my 3 week post op liquid diet. I am really proud of it and I think he was proud of me too. Good luck with everything. Keep in touch. T
My doctor doesn't require a pre op diet either but I'm starting one this morning. I want to do everything I can to prevent the surgery from having to convert to open!
