Hi Cathy! I'm a Feb. 9th RNYer too! I will be having my surgery in Bellevue, WA. Congrats on getting your date! I have been off the board past few days (lost my dad on 29th), but am trying to get re-focused. Looking forward to chatting with you!

Every morning in Africa , a gazelle wakes up.
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.

It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Kathy, I am so glad that you responded. I would love for us to be able to communicate and keep up with each other's progress. You can read my profile to see my WLS story so far. It has been a bumpy road, but I am so glad that I decided to do this.
I am trying to cut down on my intake of food before I have to go on my pre=op diet. I have lost about 11 pounds, but lately, I find myself feeling hungry all the time. I think it may be because my head knows that Its getting closer to the liquid phase of this journey.
I have read that it is natural, but I am trying not to give in. I need to keep my blood sugar levels down so that they won't be too high to have the surgery. I would have a stroke myself, if I got to the hospital and had to go home because I couldn't keep the food out of my mouth!
Looking forward to the journey with a friend who is in the same stage as me! Thanks for your response.

Climb on the train. I think this is just what I need. Friends that are experiencing the same thing at the same time. I am so ready to jump on the train and come along for the ride with us.
Suggestion. Post on this board and put (2-9) in the heading. It will help us keep up with each other on the surgery date board.
I hang out on the Tennessee board and the Main board most of the time, but will now check this board too.
