Hello all

Take Care-
Kathy
My date is also 2/9. I've been sitting here all day reading all kinds of stuff that I have read so many times. I've even cried a few times. I feel like I'm getting more on the nervous side than excited. I'm unsure exactly how this site works.
I so need the support of others who know whats going on and knows what we are going through. I am happy for you and know the extremely long journey you've been through to get to this point. Good job!!!
May you be the success and testimony that will bless you and so many others. You are the first person I have written. Please let me know if you get it. Take Care, Pam Rasey
Hi Pam,
I did get your reply to my post. Like you, I read, and read, and cried, and read some more from this site before setting up my profile. I totally understand the "nervous side". I was doing pretty good until I went to the message board that discussed failures. However, after reading a few posts, and really assessing what was going on, I figured I am going to just stay focused on succeeding, and remember my own strengths. It harder to focus on our strengths than our weaknesses, which is really quite sad, but it happens.
The 9th is going come be here before we know it! What type of sugery are you having? I'm set for the RNY lapriscopic (i hope****ep visualizing myself one month, then two months after surgery. Then during the summer when I will be able to be more active with my 14 yr. old. (I will be able to be on the jet ski the same time as her without worrying about sinking. lol).
I'm pretty talkative (even on message boards), which goes along with my job. So feel free to seek me out to vent, or just to chat.
Remember, we are all worthy of a healthy and long life. No matter what our reasons for being where we are right now, the important thing is, we are here!
Take Care,
Kathy
It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed.
Every morning in
It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve.
It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle
when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

I just found this forum. My surgery is scheduled for Feb. 2. Five days before my 46th b-day! I go for my pre-surgery phys. on thurs then meet with the anastes.(breathing people) and get my blood work done. I am excited and scared. Knowing there are other people out there doing this also is comforting to know. Good luck to everyone!
