Just One Pre-Op Appointment Left
On January 29, I go in for a final meeting with my surgeon and then preop stuff with anesthesiologist etc.
I've had ultrasound, nutrition and psych appointments. Everything is going pretty well. They did find H.pylori so I'm on PrevPac, and they also found some gallstones but I'm asymptomatic.
Where are others in their process?

I feel like I've run out of steam a bit.. I whipped through getting insurance approval in 2 months but still need to schedule appointments for most of the above. Part of it is the Holidays, part that I'm anxious about those last ten pounds.

Dec. 5th 08.. went to Geisinger Hospital Danville,Pa where i been going since july when i enrolled in pre-op program for gastric bypass...final pre-testings complete got an ultra sound, EKG, blood work.. (TEN tubes) *faints... monthly weigh in.. bp.. etc.. felt like i walked 2 miles.. huge hospital had me zig zagging in circles.. am down to 407 now.. they found some cysts on my kidneys... kinda had a feeling that was coming... my moms side of family has history of kidney disease.. far as i know that wont have any effect on when i get my surgery.. have to go back jan 5th for last pre-op class... an meet surgeons.. will let u guys know more when i know more...
Hi I am also in the proccess of working up to surgery. My pats are on the 26th of Jan and my surgery is on the 10th Feb. I am some what nervous about getting this done but I know that I must get this done so I don't suffer any more with my knees and the arthritsis. My knees are pretty well worn out from the arthritsis. If I don't do something I am going to need surgery for my knees.
Hello LT my final meeting with my surgeon is on the 29th of January also then the preop on the 2nd of February and surgery on the 3rd yes I am excited I don't think I will get nervous until the night before the surgery thats me. The doctor didn't require me to lose any weight but I have lost 10 pounds since finding out when I'm having the surgery. I live in the Florida Panhandle Im having a VSG
