Looking for a sister sleever

I am having VGS with Dr Alvarez on 2/12/09 and I would really like a buddy to count the days down with. It would be especially neat if they were also ahving the VSG done with Dr. A. I am sooo excited, ahumm... obsessed. I find myself looking at before and after picks, comparing dates and thinking in my mind what month it would be if I had their success. Anyone else this retarded? Today makes 2 months until I begin my pre-op diet...Yipee!

UUUHH, YES...There are others that are even MORE retarded! My sleeve is scheduled with
Dr. A. on 2/26/09, exactly 2 weeks after you! I am obsessed as well and counting the days! I have made a calander too....all the weeks prior to surgery say,  "Pre-op" week 1,2,3,4 and so on. Then all the weeks after say, " post-op week" 1,2,3,4,5....all the way through 2009. So it seems my whole year will revolve around my surgery and how each day & week relate to it!

Did you ever find a "sleeve sister"? I would love to be her, although you will always be 2 weeks ahead of me so you should probably find a second sister who is having VSG surgery a week or 2 before you as well.

Did you go to LSU? I graduated from USA (South Alabama). Living way up north in WA State now though.

Well, I am counting the days as you are none- the -less! I have 72 days to go!  Which means
you only have 58!!!!...LUCKY YOU!

Hi there. I'm from Saskatchewan and am having the sleeve gastrectomy in Mexico on February 8. How excited are you! I'm both nervous and excited. Reading through this site has really helped get a good insight into the trials and tribulations of life post op. It really hits home that this is a life time commitment, and not the easy way out that's for sure.

I am having VSG with Dr Alvarez on 2/07/09 and I am getting very excited. I see you are from La too! Are you driving or flying? I have decided to drive but nervous about the drive back. Good Luck with everything. Will miss you by a couple days!
