I'm having my surgery on the 21st too! Do you have to do any type of liquid diet or anything before your surgery. I have to do a 10 day liquid diet which I am going to need TONS of support for. Post op liquids will be a breeze with my new pouch but my big old stomach isn't going to like just liquids. I don't have to do any night before prep, just not eat/drink after 10.
Are you excited? I am waaaaay over the moon excited. It will be here before we know it. Less than three weeks away. Have you started stocking up on stuff you are going to need. I have bought a little but not much. I do my pre-op testing this week and as long as I have the day off I plan to buy everything I need.

i have not done my 2 week liquid diet yet. i am going to start tomorrow. but i did practice it for two days and that was kind of easy. i am anxious to start it tomorrow. i think what if i cant do it. but everyone that has had this surgery has been able to do it. so that puts me at ease a little.

I am a little nervous but feeling better about it after reading supportive advice. Can't wait to get it overwith. I am concerned about dietician said no pre op liq diet. Only day before surgery, nothing allowed. If I have anything they will cancel. I think I need to clarify with her.

thank you. i go in less than 2 weeks! wow. i will be sure to keep this post updated on everything. my date is the 14th. i'll start my liquid diet tomorrow.

How are you doing? I seem to be getting more anxious as the date gets closer. I am worried about being able to get the protein in afterwards.

Ironic that it is on Fat Tuesday. What a great day to start your new life. I wish you a speedy recovery. Hopefully you aren't too anxious!

I am also having RNY on the 12TH of Feb. I can't believe the surgery is almost here. As u know we had to go through alot for this moment. I'm sure all will go well. Good luck and my prayers are with us both.
