I'm FEb. 15 also. My doc doesn't require liquids before either. In fact, they said I can eat up until dinner the night before! I have to clarify also, I'm seeing him on Feb. 6th.

Mine is 2/21/08. Do you have to do a liquid diet or any other pre-op prep? I have to start my liquid diet on the 11th. I am dreading in but it's part of the deal. You are only a week after mine. It will be here before we know it.

I'm in Alabama and I haven't even heard of it. I start my 10 day pre-op diet on the 11th so that's when I plan to start scaling back....lol.

Me too. I think that i am going to get the jack lalane juicer, they say that you can get everything that you need in a cup. I can do that i thought it would be great for after the surgery to so that i would have more energy to walk and make sure that my body heals better. all i can do is try. We should add each other to our friends list.

A bill recently introduced in Mississippi's state legislature would bar restaurants from serving people determined to be obese.
House Bill 282 aims to require dining establishments with seating capacity of five or more to follow guidelines set by the state's health department to determine a prospective customer's obesity, turning away those considered too fat to serve.

Hi surgery buddy!! I have to do a full liquid diet starting 14 days before surgery with the last two days before surgery being a clear liquid diet. I'm a bit nervous about it, but they said we could have strained soups (except tomato) so I think I'll be okay. The two days of clear liquids is going to be the hardest though.
I'm heading to the store tonight to stock up on some stuff. I can't wait for this to happen!! I'm so tired of being fat, not being able to play with my kids, not fitting into seats. I'm ready to be normal!!

Topic: Scale Back Alabama?
Hey all,
I joined the Scale Back Alabama program/contest and I am just wondering if anyone else has joined it or has any ideas on how i can achieve the goal? The goal is to lose 10 lbs. in 10 weeks ... easier said than done. I've cut back my calorie intake and started drinking more water and I've lost 5 so far but gained back 3. I'm trying not to get discouraged by the gaining back of those 3 lbs. but again easier said than done. So if anyone has any tips or advice it would be very appreciated!
