I'm the 15th too! And I don't have a pre-op either. I think it has something to do with your BMI - if it's high they want you to go on a pre-op diet to get your liver in shape. My BMI is 35.

I am on a 1000 calorie pre-op diet. It seems each doctor has different requirements.
My surgery is next Monday, Feb. 11. I have to start taking a beta-blocker tomorrow.

Topic: Anyone still slightly lightheaded while you are up and moving around 2 weeks post op??
Just wondering if there are those of you who still feel a little lightheaded when getting up and moving around some. Not all the time, but sometimes. I am trying to get in as much water as I can get along with my CIB drinks 3 x day. Other than that, I am doing just fine. I get a slight to dull headache every day, too. Today I heated up some tomato soup and the change of flavor, etc. seemed to help some. Thanks for any comments you can add...

Wow! You're up tomorrow. No wonder you are getting nervous. Everything will go just fine and when you wake up you will be on the losing side. Yay you!

Hi my surgery is feb. 14. i also am concerned about the no pre op liquid diet. I was also told this by my doctor. I will be seeing the doctor on feb.6 and will find out then about the liquid diet thing. Well good luck. See ya on the other side of the bench. Nikki

dont people know that when you see fat people at a restraunt they must have good food, with this law they might end up loseing in the long run. all i think it is is discrimanation aganist overweight people. it's nothing but a bunch of bs you ask me
