My diet started today. I have surgery on the 25th in Gainesville. What all are you allowed to have? I can only have protein shakes for breakfast and lunch, but then a sensible dinner. Kind of like the slim fast diet. : ' ( Good luck with your diet and surgery

I stocked up today on everything I will be able to eat/drink over the next ten days and boy am I scared about this. I get hungry just thinking about not eating solid food. Has anyone else done this liquid diet and if so, what got you through it? My list of acceptable foods is pretty liberal so that's a positive. My surgery is on the 21st. Sandi

I think it's probably normal to have mixed emotions. I had a panic moment a little before my date was set. Right now, I feel fine. I fully expect to have another freak-out time as the date nears.

I am not sure if it is my taste buds, but I really don't enjoy eating. Nothing taste good. I talked this over with my nutritionist. We thought of several different recipes, but food taste really bland. Is it just me, or will it get better? I had my surgery on 12-19-2007. Thanks
