Topic: RE: NERVOUS & SCARED ABOUT SURGERY
I understand where your coming from, I have a 2 yr old that her mother doesn't want but use her to get a paycheck. We have joint custody but I have her 5 days a week and every other weekend and I am the one paying child support. But not to harp on that I was just asking if you had gotten a chance to take care of everything that you mentioned.

Topic: RE: Starting on 10 day liquid diet tomorrow
If you are on a liquid only diet, that should include soups, broths, jello, pudding, yogurt, carnation instant breakfast shakes, slim fas****er, juices etc. I am on that diet right now and man it is hard. But I am also almost done. thank goodness for that. I have 2 more days after today. I go in on Thursday. What has gotten me through it is definitly the creamed soups. I was told to do cream soups. I love the cheese coup and potato soups. They are a life saver. Also for the craveing to chew, I use the hot cocoa packets, empty the powder into a small cup and eat the powder dry, with a spoon. It tastes like pure milk chocolate and kind of curves that craving to chew. I get so sick of drinking everything and this method lets me get substance without drinking. I also asked my surgeon to ok a peice of fruit a day and he said ok. So that helps me alot. Good luck to you and your diet. You'll do great.

Topic: RE: Weight come off
Oh what a pain in the .... weighing yourself every week isn't a bad thing, have you had a fill yet? If not, are you trying to keep the amount of food you eat as small as you can, I know I am incredibly hungry right now and waiting for a fill. I hope things are working out for you.8-)

Topic: RE: 9 Days out of surgery...
 Kylah great job, I'm 13 days post-op, and now onto mushy foods, whoa for me. I am now at the point where I am having to use a hell of a lot of will power not to eat everything in the house. Can't wait for a fill in two weeks so it can help me continue to loose the weight.

Topic: RE: 5 days post surgery
Helo Reno, I am able to sit in a chair, however, if you sit for any amount of time you have to elevate your legs. At least up to 6 weeks after your surgery of you can suffer DVT. DVT is Deep vein thrombosis, also know as leg blood clots. I can get in and out of bed with ease now and walking it easier each day. I am up to a mile a day in two 1/2 mile sessions, 1 morning and 1 afternoon. I have almost no pain now. The only real pain I have in on my left side where they did all the work at and once in awhile in my stomach area where then snipped me. No stinging just sore like someone punched you really hard a few times. I have cut my meds to once every 6 hrs but only taking 1 pill now instead of 2. I think I will be on the pain meds in the next few days.

Topic: RE: surgery date 2/04/2008
I'm another one with the same surgery date. Had it done last monday. Hope you're doing as well as I am. I'm not really in any pain and trying to "enjoy" an all liquid diet. I had to stay in the hospital for 6 days due to a set back 2 days after, but they finally let me go home. BTW, isn't Sedilia, MO the home of the Scott Joplin festival? I went one year and had the time of my life.
