I felt the same just before my surgery last week. But now I'm feeling better and I'm so glad it's done! You'll be soooo happy once it's all over! Good Luck!

That's what I've been thinking as well. I just wondered if it was unusual or not so soon after surgery. I am eating only soft foods and soups but can easily eat over a cup at a time with no problem and I often feel hungry as well.

You may need the band adjusted. They may do that for you on your appt Thursday.

Hey Betty I know I'm cutting this short but you'll do great tomorrow the pain meds are great! but to be honest (this does sound gross) when you start passing gas and burping you really do start to feel better my only problem was my mouth was soooo dry I couldn't stand it....the nurse wa nice and let me flush my mouth with mouthwash and of course told me not to drink it but I felt sooo much better afterwards! But hey youi'll make it through! And I'll hold your seat on the bench!

Well I'm going on tues (2-19) to get my drainage tube taken out and I'm sure I'll tell you how I'm doin then too but thanks for your support they way you type on here you seen like you're soooo excited and sooooo ready you'll make it through and you'll be alright. Thanks for the support

Topic: Just over a week after surgery .... need advice
This is my first time posting so please bear with me.
I had my lap band surgery on February 7th. One week before surgery I was put on slim fast and managed to lose around 5 pounds before surgery. Since the surgery I've lost 10 more pounds but my question is ---- the last day or so I've been feeling better and eating alot more --- is it normal to gain some weight at this point? I weighed myself this morning and I'm up 3 pounds. I have an appointment with the clinc this Thursday so I'm sure they will help me out but I was just wondering if anyone else had this happen.

I know what you mean!!! Mine was the 13th, and it was scary. I am definitely glad it is over, but now it is all downhill and so are the numbers on the scale! Good luck to you. I have five incisions not including my port site, 13 staples, and just a little bit of bruising but not too much pain. I tried not to turn over in bed for a couple of nights though. The liquid pain medicine is yucky!!! but you will be glad you have it, just the same. Keep us posted!

I just have to get through work Mon, Tues and Wed then surgery on Thurs. I am sooo stoked I can't contain it. My husband is soooo tired of talking about it. He's taking a few days off work so he can come visit me (he would drive me nuts if he stayed overnight). I am just READY! Bring it on!
