Topic: 11 Months Out and Stalled
Not sure how everyone is doing now that we are 11 months out.  It's hard to believe it has almost been a whole year since we had this life changing surgery.

I am down 102 lbs and holding steady at 158 lbs.  I have met the goal that my surgeon set for me, but I would personally love to lose another 30 lbs.  I have been battling (and losing a lot of times) head hunger.  I really need to get a grip on that so that I can start losing again.  I have already started refocusing on my protein intake again and am now getting in plenty of that.  Just need to cut out the between meal snacking.  I know I am just sabotaging myself and using my hectic schedule (work FT and School FT) as an excuse...but that's all it is...an EXCUSE.

Other than that, I am doing great.  I have gone from a size 22W to a (loose) size 12.  Can't quite get into those 10s yet....LOL.   I have my one year post-op appointment with my surgeon on Feb 25th....one week after I come off a cruise.  That's soooo not fair.  I have to watch what I eat on that cruise and make sure I get my walking in onboard the ship.  LOL.

How's everyone else doing at the 11 month mark?

I haven't really thought about celebrating the day but I may now! I would like to reach goal by then but seeing as I still have 10lbs to go, and I am losing very slowly now, it probably won't happen.

Not that I can complain. I am down 123lbs and in a size 10. I am actually pretty happy where I am at but if I can get to goal I sure want to!

I think I will make your undies statement part of my New Year's resolution. No more saggy undies for me.

I know! It's so exciting! My hubby and I were planning on going to Vegas to celebrate (never been there) but then we needed to buy a new minivan, so maybe we'll just go out and sit in the minivan on the driveway for a while and say "ooh and ah." Just kidding!

We're going to go out to a fancy dinner that night and count our blessings.

I have about 23 pounds left to get to my first goal (a BMI of 25 at 155 pounds). I think I can do it by Feb 22. I'm going to do my best to keep the carbs low and the exercise high until then and see what happens to the scale. December was rough--I think I ate candy every day! Still lost about 10 pounds, so I'm hoping I can make goal soon.

And Christine, get some new undies. See this post I made a couple of weeks ago!

Definitely keep your protein intake up and take Biotin and you should do fine.

Thanks for the encouragement!  It was scary to see it all in the bottom of the tub and then so much on the floor, but I think it is starting to slow down, I can tell when I go a couple of days not eating right, I will see it in the bottom of the tub....helps keep me counting protein as that is the key!  Good shampoo helps, but I think what you eat is more important.
Thanks again,
Michele

My hair loss only lasted two months...from my 4th month to my 6th month then it drastically slowed down.  I am almost 10 months out now and my new growth is a couple of inches long.  It's nice that it's starting to thicken back up again.  Just be patient...it comes back.

I am still loosing my hair.  I am just about 6 months post op, doing great and sooo thankful I did this, but I have always been vaine about my hair.  Well WOW I have lost a bunch already.  I can see where it is growing back in, but I am still loosing, my question is how long does it last?  or continue to come out?
