Hi there! I had to take a six month health educational class on the surgery. If you need ANYTHING let me know. I know a lot about it. I've been a part of an awesome support group, and went lastnight. They were able to help me a lot. I had a little bit of a breakdown lastnight. It's not so much that I am afraid of the after affect, but I am afraid of being put under. I had a bad experience with my last surgery painwise. I wish you the very best with your surgery. I'll think of you that day. Keep me posted on your updates. -Cari

Hello Tracy, Thank-you for the post. Your right! My BMI is 73, and I am 49 years old. With that kind of weight I will not live very much longer unless something is done and quick!! I want to stick around for another 20 years or so. Knowing so many people is going to be a great help to you. Your going to have all the wonderful support you need. Good luck on your surgery. My date is 2/29, and I am suddenly feeling some of that, too. Luckily, I know many who have had the surgery, and knowing how successful and healthy they've been with it reminds me that my odds are simply fantastic! Yours are, too! Also, I keep reminding myself, that I am doing this for my health ... and that long-term, there are more risks associated with NOT doing it than with doing it. Good luck ... you'll do great!
