Topic: RE: Need help, can't keep down the protein
What kind of protein are you drinking? My surgery was 2/25. On 3/1 I began drinking EAS Myoplex Original. I got the ready made. It's 42g of protein per 17 oz shake. I've only had the Chocolate Fudge but it taste pretty good cold. I believe it's also available in powder form as well as bars.

Teresa,
This hasn't happened to me, but if I were you I would definitely call my doc about it. I'm sure it's nothing, but better safe than sorry, and all that!

Topic: Need help, can't keep down the protein
I need help. I have tried 10 different types of protein supplements and everyone makes me really sick feeling. I think it may be the protein itself. Does anyone have any suggestions on what worked for them?? I am 17 days Post-Op.
Topic: swollen feet
I had my surgery on 2/27/08 and woke up this morning with puffy feet.they were a little puffy last night and I attributed this to being up and around the house more than in the hospital. Is this normal? I keep walking around the house and that seems to take some of the swelling away. I was told NO recliners after surgery due to blood clots. I almost think keeping my feet up would help the swelling.
Other than that, I feel good!

You need socks house sloppers tooth brush /paste , hair brush, soap, shampoo, conditioner, underwear, clean outfit to leave in that is loose fitting like sweat pants and a buttondown ot zip down top trustme the last thing you want to do is raise your arms. You also want a cushy stuffed animal or body pollow incase you cough or sneeze to coushen your belly. I would not worry about PJ's you will be in a gown. Good luck. I am 7 years out.

I had mine the same day as you--the gastric bypass.
My goal is to lose 80 total and I have lost 15 already .
I feel good, eating is a challenge as so many things taste different. I have had a little dumping from not chewing enough. Sadly, sweets don't make me dump.
I started back to CURVES this week. Still a bit tired and weak. Headed on a one week biz trip next week, presenting twice to large groups, I am ready.
How are you?

I had mine on 2/21 and am doing great. Still having a little left side pain, which I kinda thought would be getting better by now. Lots of head hunger. You name it and I am craving it, but I am still on full liquids. So far, no problems though.
How about you?
