Topic: RE: Generally don't feel well
Me too!!! I had my surgery 2/26 and I lost 20lbs in the first 12 days and then nothing until a couple of days ago when I lost 2 more lbs and this morning I was down 1 more lb. I thought it would go faster too. The only food that doesn't make me sick is baby food and it is making me mentally sick. I did buy iron pills, but I only take 1 every other night because they can really constipate you. They do help though.

I am writing for my husband Dennis - surgery date 2/28 down 30 pounds since surgery - 45 total. The first 2 weeks were terrible for me, he was very crabby and slept alot. Since he started the pureed proteins he is a little happier but he still falls asleep and says he doesn't feel as well as he though he would. He does feel better when he gets his fluids in. If you are on any blood pressure pill make sure your bp isn't low. After only 3 weeks his blood pressure pill had to be reduced. hope you feel better soon.

Hi he is doing much better. We realized it was portion size. He was eating to what he was used to as FULL and not comfortable. We cut the portion size to 2 - 3 oz and he is doing much better. Now he also has room for fluids. He was very low on fluids but now he is MUCH better. Down 45 pounds since preop liquid diet started and down 30 pounds since surgery date.
He is inspiring me to work hard to get the insurance company to ok. I'm proud of him! Thanks for asking

Congrats on the 16 lbs weight loss! I know that lap band loss is a bit slower then RNY, so it sounds like you are doing great. I had RNY surgery on 2/25 which is a little over 3 weeks ago & have lost 20 lbs so far. Best of Luck!

Are you getting in as much water as you can. I know I feel fatigued when I am not getting enough water. I am only 5 weeks out too and still on pureed so I am not focusing so much on protein yet, but are you eating your three meals a day?
I hope you get to feeling better soon and I hope the fatigue lets up. I have days where I go straight home from work and take a nap until dinner time.

Topic: Generally don't feel well
I am five weeks out, have lost 26 pound. Been stalled for ten days...UGH.
More concerning is that I just fell like crap. I could take a daily nap if I wasn't working. At night I am crabby because I feel lousy.
Anyone else feel this way?

I am at almost 4 weeks and have lost 33 lbs. I also fee like I am not losing fast enough. You watch these TV shows and these people are like "oh, its been 4 weeks and I've lost 70 lbs.". I just really feel frustrated too and I am craving bread like a crazy woman. Are you working out yet? I am up to about a 1 1/2 miles on the treadmill and doing some light weight machines for my arms--maybe some more exercise would help.

I had a couple of times where a ate something that upset my pouch. I called my doc and he told me to go back to clear liquids for the rest of the day and full liquids for another day or two. It helped. I have also read to sip hot tea for some relief.

I am writing for my husband Dennis as he has vision problems and can't use the computer but loves to be in this forum. He had surgery on Feb. 28 and has lost 37 pounds. He was on the liquid protein until last Friday and as of friday he is on pureed protein (or finely chopped). He has had no vomiting yet but came close last night. he ate too much and was so uncomfortable. When he gets hungry at night he has a little sugar free jello. He also started walking as much as he can tolerate right now. He does crave certain foods that he can't have but he said that when he feels that way he goes and tries on clothes that never fit him!
Good luck.
