Topic: RE: what is everyone eating typically 8months out???
My typical day varies, of course but here are some choices I make for a variety of meals. I would love to see what everyone else is doing as far as food choices
Breakfast: Spinach Feta Wrap from Starbucks (250 cal), or Go Lean Kashi hot cereal (150 calories), or Atkins breakfast bar (160 calories)
Mid-morning: Decaf Coffee (my new friend)
Lunch: homemade salad spring rolls (spring roll wrapper, cooked chicken, shredded carrots and lettuce) with Mae Ploy Sweet chili sauce (70 calories for 2 tbsp) or spaghetti squash with marianar sauce and romano cheese or baja fresh sald with salsa for dressing (around 350 calories)
Snack: Frozen grapes or nonfat/sugar free frozen yogurt on a cake cone (150 calories) or soy crisps
Dinner: depends on what I had during the day. If I am already to 900 calories then I skip dinner and just have coffee. If I am less than that I usually will have some protein like meat and a little bit of cheese or cottage cheese
I try to keep my calories under 1100 per day but, for me, it has been hard. If I don't count everything I can easily get up to 1200 calories.
NOTE: I try REALLY hard not to go out to dinner. I find that you just don't have enough control over what you are eating and I feel guilty after going out.

Topic: RE: Hair loss and regrowth
Yes, I can see mine is finally growing back. I notice it most along my forehead, all these inch long hairs, but it is soooooo thin!!!! I had such nice, long, thick hair. I got it cut a little bit in July thinking it might slow down the loss, but it didn't help. I notice it isn't falling out as much now, but there is still definately some coming. I just don't know what a normal amount of hair loss is now.

Topic: Hair loss and regrowth
Okay, so most of us lost some hair. Mine went from being super thick to being super thin now. I think it's starting to grow back in now. From what I can tell, the new growth is about an inch long. Has anyone else noticed that their hair is growing back yet? I sooo miss my thick hair and can't wait until it's back to normal.

You go girl! Way to go on almost making goal! I still have about 40 lbs until goal, and I hope to make it by cruise time in Febrauary. At the rate things are going, I may get close but will probably take a little longer. Congrats on a job well done!

Hi everyone,
I don't usually post here but then again I just stumbled upon it!
Im not 8 months out til the end of the month but I seem to be doing well.
I have lost a total of 107lbs. Im 3lbs away from my original goal but i have moved my goal for an additional 10lbs so we shall see if i can get there. I'm wearing a size 8 pant and med/lg tops depending on the cut and brand. I'm just happy to be in normal stores and able to find the nicer things in my size. I started at a 22W and a 2x top so im pretty happy.
Things are certainly slowing down in the weight loss department... Probably because Im not as strict as i was in the beginning, but Im trying to eat more "normal" these days. I exercise lots to compensate for those CARB days and it seems to even each other out. So far Ive only lost 5lbs this month so I will probably fall way short of my 10lb goal.. O well Ill keep plugging away and it will come!
Best of luck to everyone, Hope you are all doing well.

I see our surgery date is the same and alot of my thoughts are the same! I lose only about 2 weeks a months and average 5 - 7 lbs, BUT I notic a difference in clothing and was able to buy size 14 skirt this weekend, which was great! My problem is I do not exercise seems like not enough hrs in the day. I did buy the Wii & Wii fit.for Christmas so maybe that will help! I do usually measure my food especially the protein or something like soup - or my famous (lol) mixture of ground beef or turkey, mushrooms, canned dieced tomatos and bean with garlic and onions - it makes a good lunch or quick dinner and can eat just about a cup most days - somedays I cannot eat that much. As for the lean cuisine that is not a huge amount and I would not worry, I was told if I am truly hungry and the pouch is growling then have somthing to eat. I recently started eating Greek yogurt - its expensive but worth it with berries and cereal on it.
I do hope we can keep in touch - my regular email is [email protected] or if you have instant messanger we can talk there.
Have a great day!

From what I can tell, I think I'm eating too much. Just like you I have good days and bad days. Sometimes I am just starving and other days I just can't eat anything at all. But I have to say that I can eat a whole lean cuisine meal at lunch. but then eat a very small dinner. I don't really measure in cup size. So I wonder now if I AM eating too much.
I too have my next goal at onederland. I have 7 pounds to go. Well at least I thought I did until today when I got my period and went up 2 pounds . I find if I lay off my exercise I do very bad with my weight loss. not really gaining, but just stalling. So I am trying to get on the treadmill 6 days a week. I can only stay on for short periods of time due to a leg injury.
hopefully you broke your 4lb gain. I'm sure that was temporary. I find that I fluctuate about 2lbs.
Also I'm wondering if anyone else has the same losing pattern as I do. Seems that I stall for about 2-3 weeks then drop about 4lbs. then go again 2-3 weeks and drop another 4lbs. it's weird. my average right now is aprox 7 lbs a month. Just trying to compare and see how I'm doing.

Topic: Eight month update?
My weight loss has slowed down tremendously. But where I didn't lose in lbs, I definitely lost some in inches. I got into a size 12 pants this month (from a 22W). I consider that quite an accomplishment. Still wearing Large tops. Am at 91 lbs lost and seem stuck there. Need to step up my efforts and make that century mark before Thanksgiving. That's my short-term goal anyhow.
