When did the weight loss slow down?
I guess mine slowed down at around 6-8 months out. I am still losing about 2-3 lbs here and there, but not like it was in the beginning. The only advice I can give you is keep your protein up and limit your carbs. When I sit down to eat, I eat my meat and veggies first, then IF there is any room I will eat my starches, but I am usually full by then. Also, I found that I wasn't consuming enough calories, which was also slowing down my loss. (I was skipping breakfast). Once I upped my daily intake just a tad, I started losing again. So there's a fine line between eating enough and eating too much. You have to find where your sweet spot is somewhere in between. Also important is getting your daily water.
Another thing to watch out for is slipping back into bad eating habits. Unfortunately, I don't seem to dump on much of anything and almost slipped back into some bad habits, but i nipped that in the bud. I have to eat right if I plan to keep losing and make my goal weight.

Since my 8 mth weigh in, 2 wks have gone by & I've only lost another 2.5 lbs
I feel like I have hit bottom. I started pre-op at 254 (highest weight was 260). I have lost rather slowly but consistently all along the way. The thing that concerns me is that I haven't lost weight in over 2 months!!! I am either at a plateau or I am all done. I am at 185 right now. I track all calories and, although I get in exercise, I keep my calories low because I know I am not burning up a lot of calories (I was a brisk 2 miles, 5 days a week). I finally called my surgeon's office to ask if this is normal and was asked to fax in my food journal. I know some of it could be that I rarely eat breakfast. I usually eat my first small something around 10:30 or so in the morning and then have a late lunch around 1:30 or 2 pm and then a light dinner in the evening. I have never noticed much of a difference whether I go low carb or not but I never eat things like pasta, rice, potatoes. That said, my breakdown in calorie distribution per day is usually 40% protein, 30% carbs and 30% fat. I just hope the scale keeps moving. I am down to a size 10/12 so I am happy with that part. I just feel like I have another 20 pounds to go before I will feel all done. I am 5'6" so I won't be getting down to 130 or anything.
I have just started working out...finally...and am working my upper half to try to tone up a bit. The arms aren't bad, but the tummy is flabby and the "girls" are hanging low. TMI...sorry.
