what is your 6 mth loss?
Hello from Hong Kong,
Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy operation on Feb 25 here in Hong Kong where I emigrated to 20+ years ago, down 111 pounds so far.
Initially losing 1 pound/day for almost 2 months, it's slowed down to about 2 pounds/week now. It's definitely getting tougher to keep up the exercise (gym, biking, walking) and some hunger feelings are returning now. As my intestines haven't been changed - stomach reduction only - I can eat and drink almost anything again and have no lasting side effects besides a vastly improved health, losing most of my "obesity-related co-morbidities.
Another 55 pounds to lose, going from Super Morbidly Obese (lovely term, isn't it?) to a mere Overweight in BMI terms, I hope. 2 of my 3 brothers and a sister-in-law also had different weight loss surgeries in Europe and are mostly doing pretty well so far, up to 6 years later.
I am so jealous. I had lost 68 pounds at my 6 months and as of 8 months I am only down 74. I cannot believe how slow the weight loss is going. I weighed 319 at surgery and am down to 245. I have lost a lot in size I went from a 30-32 3X - 4X top and 30T pants to 14-16 top and 11-13 pants.
I am concerned about the amount of food I eat mostly protein three meals a day I have trouble getting enough protein and blame that on the reason iI am so tired all the time. I have no energy. I eat fish mostly - tuna salad - celery, onion, pickle egg and tuna w/low fat mayonaise or Crab with celery and low fat mayonaise. I crave variety, but focus on the protein foods.
Suggestions????
