I am only three days out and am already having head hunger. I know I am not really hungry but I am craving a slice of cheese in a bad way. I won't eat it, I just want it. Has anyone else had head hunger and what did you do to get past it? Sandi

Hi Sandi, I know exactly how you feel. When i got home i wasn't active at all, i was just sitting in my recliner and watching tv, i could not believe how many FOOD commercial were on tv, and all i thought was "WHAT DID I DO TO MYSELF?. I was watching the DOMINO PIZZA commercial and i was so emotionally devastated. But once i visited my doctor 10 days after my surgery, he told me that i was 22lbs lighter, and that is when i said all the sacrifies are worth it. you will be able to eat cheese when you get to soft food, and it is only a few days ahead. Stay strong, walk a little, drink alot (water) lol. You will be fine. When you feel head hunger drink water, water will fill you up!! . We all go through this. You just have to keep with plan. God bless you Sandi.

Otherwise I feel just fine. I just got it in my head earlier that I wanted a slice of cheese. It passed and I just ate some sf jello and a popsicle (not at the same time). Sandi

Hey Sandi! I'm having head hunger as well. Mine is for a nice piece of chicken. I can't wait to be put on pureed food. Never thought I would look forward to drinking a chicken breast! LOL One thing that I have found is I can't stand anything sweet. I tried SF Jello and it was entirely too sweet. Tried a popsicle and just about gagged. I guess that will come in handy later on if it lasts. But I will admit a nice cheesy pizza sounds good. LOL

I just had my operation"BPPDS" on Feb 18 and I'm going thru the same issues. The liquid diets are tough, can't wait untill i can eat some mash potatoes or even baby food. Can any body tell me what are some examples of their full liquid diets. Im going by the book and im tired of cream of wheat and chicken broth. Thanks in advance. Sandi good luck and stay positive. I know what you are going thru :(
