I have survived stage three breast cancer, now losing weight for Lap-band

Hi, I am sure there may be some people still here from last year 6-07 or earlier. I was all ready to have lap band surgery, and almost to my goal weight when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. After some thought and alot of praying on my part I decided to have my right breast removed. It's a good thing I did I had stage three agressive cancer. My last chemo treatment was 12-17-07 so it's been two months since then. My hair is coming back, I am back to work driving my school bus, and I feel great. Currently, I have lost 9 lbs of the 22 lbs I need to lose to get all my paperwork sent to my insurance and then I finally get to have the lap-band done. After fighting cancer there is nothing that I can't do anymore. I enjoy every day that I am given and I am very grateful too. Sheryl E.

Being a cancer survivor myself, I know what you mean. I fought my battle with cancer back in 2000. After going through that, I now know there is nothing I can't do. Sandi surgery date 2/21/07....Thursday
