Initial Consultation for WLS scheduled for 03/04/08 w/ Dr. Kuhn

Hello everyone! I have been coming to this site multiple times a day for the last week after a friend of mine recommended it to me. People on this sight helped guide her through her successful WLS 4 years ago, and now I could really use some help. I am 31 yrs. old and have a BMI of 39.7 with no other health problems. Today I finally made the first couple of steps to help myself by calling my insurance company (UHC) and then called Dr. Joseph Kuhn and got an appointment on March 4, 2008 for an initial consultation. Does anyone have any advise for me for this first appointment?!?

HEllo-- I went to my consult on the 15th of Feb. It was ok. I had to wait awhile but it was worth it. Now I have to ball rolling. I got a list of what my insurance company needs. I am in the process of getting all of that done. I have to be on a weight loss program that is doctor supervised for 6 months and that will be a pain in the butt!!! I mean it!!! I know they don't think about all the WL programs we tried that was not supervised. I have spent a fortune. Now I will have to go to the dr every month for 6 months and pay $25 every time. That kinda is a pain but I feel like it will be worth it... I would go in there and tell him what you have researched and what you want done--he will probably suggest what he thinks is best for you--I was really nervous too but then it turned out okay... Kim
