Lap Band surgery

Has there been anyone that has died from having the lap band surgery? Also I had hernia surgery done almost 2 years ago and now I have mesh in keeping everything in place. Do you think they will do the surgery with having that?

Brenda I also had a ventral hernia repair in 2004 with mesh. Had lap band in December 2008, because of the mesh everything was stuck to it so it took a little longer to do the procedure but all went well. Just a little more discomfort than most but no problems. Good luck
