I just got approved and got my date - February 25th, 2008! I'm so excited that I can't figure out how to add my date onto my profile thingy. LOL I look forward to meeting people here!

Congratulations!! I go tomorrow to my surgeon and then I get an appointment for surgery in 3-5 weeks they told me. I am still undecided if I want to have the Lap Band or the new sleeve procedure. I'm hoping the doctor will encourage me one way or the other. My aunt had the lap band and lost 100 pounds. You're having the bypass, right? It's like getting a second chance at life almost. I'm really excited about it. I'll say a prayer that all goes well. Please keep in touch.

hi, i decided on 1/31 and now i am having lap band on the 29th, whew its going by fast and i am realizing that i need to get mentally prepared. do u think its normal to be planning a last bad meal, i mean how bad is that?....:-p

Hi, I know what you mean about the last bad meal. I kind of had a last bad month. I gained 14 pounds when I went to the therapist (my highest weight at 294). That kind of through me over the edge, so I have been pretty serious since then about my food. I lost 9 pounds when I went for my visit with the surgeon. I have a date for surgery - April 1. Finally. Where are you having your surgery? I'm having it a Beth Israel in Boston, Mass by Dr. Jones. It is kind of scary but exciting at the same time. Wish you loads of luck. Keep me posted.
