Do you all drink coffee and does it have any adverse affects on the weight loss? I drink about 12 ounces every morning. Thanks! Shelley

Hello everyone, I will hit my 5 months on the 13th of July. I started at 258lbs and now I'm down to 188lbs. I feel great and can't weight to hit my doctors goal of 150lbs. I do lots of walking and I have hand weights to help with the arm flab. I have to agree with everyone else about keeping up the good work....fight for what you believe in and you will always come out a winner!!!

When was your surgery date? 2/16/07 How much have you lost so far? 386 (day of surgery) - 290 (2 weeks ago on the Publix scale) = 96 pounds lost How much to your goal? 40-90 more pounds to go. I have not decided whether to stop at 250 or 200. How do you think you could help someone else that seems to be stuck? Not sure what the term stuck means. I am starting to doubt whether my doctor actually preformed the gastric bypass on me. I have changed the way I eat, but as I read the postings on this site I sometimes am afraid. I have not gone through the things that some members have gone through. I am glad I am missing out, but my surgery seems to perfect. I have never had dumping, and I pray I never do. I am concerned with how often it seems people are going to the hospital. I have only gone back to the hospital for my check ups. Sorry, I am babbling....

Hi Claire- I think your nut will have the right answers for you. Every doctor does things a little bit different. My nut says minimum of 45 grams of protein and I stay under 700 calories a day..... Good Luck! Shelley
