Topic: How are my fellow SLOW LOSERS doing?
I am a VBG revision, and even though my weight loss has been VERRRRY slow, compared to most first-timers, I still wouldn't trade a thing! Things are going well even though the scale is moving slowly. As of today, I have officially reached my bottom weight of my VBG. (My weight loss stopped at 275 and I stayed there for YEARS before slowly putting all the weight back on and then some.) I don't know if it's a 5 month post-op thing, but I have started to relax a little. I was so neurotic about getting of my daily protein and water in, that it was driving me and my family a little crazy! I've chilled out a little and I just drink my water and eat as much protein as I can and stop worrying about the rest. I faithfully take my vitamins though and I feel great! How are my fellow slow losers doing?

I had my surgery on 2/2/07. I've lost about 30 pounds so far. I don't really have a weight goal. My main goal at the moment is to get into onederland. I'm only 2 pounds away. :-0 In terms of helping other people, all i can say is i'm right there with you and i'm sure there are many other****ting plateaus. so, basically, you're with plenty of good company. but, we'll all get there. Good luck!!

Congrats, lady! You should be very proud of yourself. I'm almost there myself. I also had the surgery in Feb. and have been stuck at 202 for about the last month. Darn the plateaus...Have you gone shopping yet!?!

Topic: RE: Salad... Lettuce?
I have a 10cc band filled to 6cc. I was able to eat lettuce easily up until my most recent fill (6/15/07), but now I can only eat a little bit. I still eat all the other goodies in/on salads, but most of the lettuce goes to the trash bin. It's just a nutrient-poor filler anyway, right? Good luck!!!

Hola Twyla I''m 5 month out and I been eating salads since 2 month ago:lettuce, tomatoes, onions, red pepperes and cucumber with eggs/tune/turkey and I will add nuts lots of protein it's the best I had no problem or anything (allways make sure you have the right amount of protein and of course small portion LOL)..I think for everybody is different just wait until you are around 3 month out and see if you could tolerate it-moji
