starting weight=448 -Day of Surgery=380=current weight is 309--Goal =198
139lbs lost since last yr in Feb 2006 -including my 71 lbs i lost since my surgery almsot 5 months ago..
I am moving along well with some plateau's here and there--but then a big loss so do not be discouraged when you hit a Plateau and do not get obsessed with the SCALE!!!! Prayeing you are doing well with no complications.
Everyone feel free to put me on your friends list as we all had our surgeries close to each other and need to keep in touch..
We are like family as we have a connection.....

Starting weight 275, current weight 208. Almost 70 lbs. I think I'm a slow loser but I am incredibly pleased nonetheless.
Topic: RE: 5 months out
wtg-congrats on the wonderful weight loss-- I am out 5 months now too and I have lost 71 lbs.. But I am not very active as diabetes has done its damage to my body and legs/feet.. Mostly in a wheel chair and praying alot and trying to move s much as possible--but am lighter as I lost 139 lbs since before and after my surgery on 2/6/07..I still have 111 lbs tom y goal as I am tall.. So 198 would be good for me.
Hope everyone is doing well.. Susie

Shelley I am doing a lot of working out in the pool as well and with a hernia it really helps because I am not in so much pain, I can't walk as much as used to with it either, glad to see someone else is doing this same exercise. Do you have a scale in your home?
Topic: RE: How are my fellow SLOW LOSERS doing?
I thought I was the only slow loser here, and was getting worried. but because of my hernia, i don't have the waist i once had, but can get into smaller clothes. that does count right?
but the scale from the Y is starting to go down so I am happy again

I am on my lifetime diet.. I had my surgery in Danville PA.. I can eat between 800-1,000 calories a day.. And a minimum of 60 grams of Protein at least--more if possible and as low fat and low carb as i can-- But like others said every doctor is diffrent--you really need to call the nutritionist who works with your surgeon..
hope i helped a little
