Topic: RE: Plateau!!!
April I had my surgery on 2/6/2007--I have lost 87 lbs since then and 68 before surgery a total of 155 lbs.. I have had several Plateaus where i stopped losing weight and then had a big loss afterwards--i have gotten a little down about it..-I have never gained any weight tho-- But i see that alot of people have hit plateaus where they did not lose for a little while then had big losses after--I did not see anyone who had gained--i do not understand if you are saying that you have gained and lost the same over and over thats what it seems.. I have consistently been losing--I am tall and my goal weigh tis 198 lbs.. So i would love to be 200 lbs! i started out at 448 lbs when i first started the Gi Nutrtion program in Danville PA lasy year in feb 2006 and now i am finally under 300 lbs!! I am soo happy about that--So now i weigh about 293! i still have 95 lbs to go-- Don ot get discouraged too also you are gaining muscle more than likely from the exercisint you are doing and that is good.. I cannot exercise much cause i have diabetic complications and am not very active--I think i am doing very well for a person who can barely walk--and i keep praying that the neuropathy in my legs and feet will get better.. But anyway--do not get discouraged and do not get obsesed with the scale.. I am praying that you have a big loss! What is your goal anyway? Are u tall or short? I am tall and big boned so it works to my advantage.. Blessings--SUSIE Smith from PA

I don't think it has any affect on weight loss, at least negatively. I drink my homemade iced latte's everyday. skim milk, SF syrup and espresso~ YUMMY! Only calories you get is from the milk and milk is good for you!

Topic: Plateau!!!
I had surgery Feb 12th and i have been losing the same 5-6 lbs for the last month.. I am getting very discouraged. I have lost 66 lbs since surgery and 95 since January.. I just hope that this is not it for me.. I don't want to be stuck at 200.. I am not perfect and i do have my moments but i don't go over 1000 calories in a day. I drink all my water and protein and i exercise at least 3 times a week.. I am trying to stay positive but it is really hard. Has anyone else experienced the same thing??? April

Thank you so much for the reminder. We all tend to get hung up on all of the great progress we have made and "forget" or just get lazy there. Thanks.

Yeaaa for you. I know we wish the weight could be gone over night. I know I did. I had surgery on 2-7-7, started at 260, and am down to 170. Somedays a few pounds less. Thats 90 pounds. I was wearing size 24-26 pants, and now yesterday I put on a size 14. I had to grab my heart, I could hardly believe it. I have a tummy too. I know I will need plastic's, but I am going to try and do what I can myself first. Keep up the good work yall !!! Deb

Thank you Judy for telling us..I have a Calcium deficiency and i am out 6 1/2 months and my Nutrtion doctor (Dr Still) gave me a prescription for Vitamin D and i have to go back for more blood work in 2 months actually my visit was on July 18 so i have to go for more blood work in like 3-4 weeks now.. And i have to take an extra calcium citrate chew so i take 3 calcium chews and the extra vit D capsule which i have to open and put the liquid on my tongue--I do give myself my own B-12 shots monthly as i am anemic and my prime doc insisted that i take enough of B-12 and i am diabetic and i have neuropathy so i do not need any more nerve damage.. I pray that the next blood work comes back better--it is so hard to keep up and i do my best to make sure i remember my things--I pray everyone else does too.. Blessings--SUSIE Smith from PA
