Wow Doreen, you make me feel unprepared! I want to go get those things too! ;) I imagine they do look like "play things" versus anything we would use today. I am excited and nervous and thrilled and worried and about every other emotion related. I am excited to meet you too. I think it will be great to have folks on the same timeline... (tee hee - - that is nervous laughter)

Hi Kim,
I can totally relate to your worry. I am the same way. I have been on these boards all day reading profiles and messages trying to find whatever I can to make me feel better. I am nervous and excited. I read of the post-ops and their issues and hope I am fully informed going into this.
One thing that helps calm my nerves is both looking at the before and after pictures and seeing the same message which is that most everyone would do it again knowing what they know. I hold on to that. I expect difficulties adjusting in the beginning, but have to believe the long term benefit of health and feeling better about myself are worth the difficulties.
We'll be fine - We CAN DO THIS! - Hang in there and try not to worry to much!

Hi Shelley! Congratulations to you too! Yes! I am sooooooo ready. We went yesterday to a kitchen Store and got two little white egg cups which are now my "goblets" for drinking and a set of 6 tiny wooden "condiment bowls" 1 inch high 2 inches across for my new "dishes" and a small measuring glass that measures teaspoon increments and up to 2 ounces of liquid. I am ready to play house! **laughing**. My hospital bag is ready and I am so anxious! How about you? I am thrilled to meet you by the way!**smiles**

Topic: Nervous about new date
So after a long time, i am finally scheduled for lap surgery on February 15th. I think i'm so nervous about never being able to eat the way i do and about having to deal with complications if i have any. I'm typically a big worrier. i've been so gung ho about this whole thing, until i actually got a physical date. please help my nerves!!!!!!

I am so excited! I am having open RNY in Carmel Indiana at St Vincent's Bariatric Center of Excellance. Dr John Huse is my surgeon.
