Finally I got my date it's for feb/6/07 ...(I was scheduled in 2005 it got cancel cause I was 6 days pregnant) now I'm back..

Topic: 3rd Times a charm?
Hello everyone! Well, first I was supposed to have my surgery on Dec 28th, then it was moved to Jan 11th and now it had moved again to Feb 22nd- all because of some issues I've been having with my blood (you can check out my profile if you want to know the nitty gritty- lol)! I'm at the end of my rope and am beginning to wonder if I will ever get my day.
Hope to get to know you all better and that I won't be changing boards again!

Hey ! Shelly congratulations , what state do you live in. There has been alot of advances. And one big diverance is that I'am mentally ready for this . Where she had already given up mantally.. Good luck girl... I 'll be praying for you. Rena

Thanks for the reply, yes he has been to every appointment I have been to . He has been great, we do talk , but I know that he does'nt tell me everything. My Dr. Has talked to him. Just pray for me.

Thanks for the reply Shelley! Way to go on getting your date as well. It is exciting isn't it? I took a look at your profile and felt connected when I read your picture comment. It took me a long time to put a photo on my profile. I wasn't wanting to share my face with the world but with my surgery scheduled I already seem to have a little more confidence because I know this too shall pass!

Congratulations on getting your date. I know I freaked after getting mine for a few days and still deal with being scared every now and then - but overall - I'm ready.
Good luck to you and I know I've seen some fellow lapbanders on here.

First, congratulations on your date!!! I know how good that feels!! (I'm on the 5th)
Re: your husband. I can imagine he would be very worried. I'm sure you are reassuring him that you will be up and walking right away. Perhaps there have been advances in the surgery or perhaps your doctors statistics for complications are far better than her doctors? Anything you can do to reassure him it is different this time - different for you.
Take care and as Meghan said - lean on each other and keep the communication open.

Wow. I think it's important for both of you to really lean on each other right now. Try to ease his fears. Has he gone to any appointments with you? Maybe talking to your surgeon will help him. Good luck with everything!!!

Hey everyone,
I am looking for a buddy to go through this adventure with. I am 26 years old and my surgery is scheduled for February 13th!!! I was worried and had some doubts when I first got my date but now I AM READY!!!
Let me know if you are interested in being my buddy! The more the merrier!
