Topic: New to site with a date
Just wanted to introduce my self to everyone. I'm new to the site. I just found out about this web site last week and I love it. It's so helpful and makes me feel like I'm not alone. My surgery date is Feb. 5th. I'm excited about this but a little scared too. Because I have not meet my surgeon yet or the nutritionist. I have an appoinment with the surgeon next week Jan. 17th. As of right now I do not have an appointment with the nutritionist. I'm having my surgery at Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN. So far the office staff has not been very help to me. I live two hours away and have requested later appointments, but they give you what they want. Plus my husband likes to go with me and he works third shift so he does not get off till 7:00 a.m. I've stressed and stressed over some of the things this place has done, but I've decided to put it all in God's hands. I believe the surgery was meant to be. It's been such an easy process for me. Almost too easy. So I know it was meant to be. No more worries.

I know how you are feeling. Last week I was waiting on a phone call from the doctors office to find out when my appointment was to meet the surgeon. They called allright with that appointment plus my surgery date. I wasn't expecting that and it kinda of sent me in a tail spin. My date is Feb. 5th. But I got 
scared or upset because I have not seen the surgery or the nutritionist yet and I was worried. I've calmed down a lot since then, but I'm still a little 
nervous about all of it. I think these feeling are normal because we are fixing to turn our life upside down and for the better. We just have to keep the prize at the end in our minds. I hope everything goes well

1. 2-26-07 surgery date
2. My mom is going to come stay with us and help out (she is wonderful)
3. I bought a chocolat protein drink and ordered some unjury also i want to see which one i like better.
4. No not going to use isopure or profect
5 yes have a recliner.

I am new to this site and I am loving what I see. the support that I have read about has been awesome. I am looking for any type of support I can get. I am nervous and excited. My surgery is set for 02/14/07-pending BCBS of IL approval. :-(
Please take a look at my page and share with me any experiences good and bad I can be expecting.

My date is 27 Feb at Scott & White hospital in Temple, TX. Does anybody have good ideas for clear protein for the two week prior? I'm going to try the one that was posted (chicken). Anything quick to buy to take to work?

I'm also nervous....and terrrified and excited too. My surgery (RNY) is scheduled for 27 Feb. I'm looking forward to the end results (both for my health and physical shape) but I know I'm facing a lot of changes to get there and am worried about what I can and can't eat. Each time I have something to eat now I wonder....will I be able to have this after or....I won't be able to eat this soon. I've been browsing all of the posts and hitting other websites. I've also bought some books and have a co-worker who has had the surgery who is very supportive. Hang in there....we'll all get through this together with support from our family and friends.

I got my surgery scheduled for feb 26 in acuna mexico. I am having lapband done, i can't back out now. I am researching everything so i will be ready mentally post opt. I have concerns but i am ready for a life change.

I have a date also 2-26-07 in mexico for lapband. I will be your lapband buddy if you would like. I am scared, nervous and excited all at once. LOL I went ahead and made my deposit and set my date so i can't chicken out now. I am 29 years old and i have a 21 month old son and husband of 5yrs.
