Topic: RE: How is Everyone doing?????
Hi Shelly
Thank you for responding to my post.. I am doing good--so far i have lost 164 lbs and i have PMS-but have not had my period in over a year tho--but still get the fluid retention and IRRRITABILTY of course and aches and pains--you know what i mean
So i am at a plateau right now which if fine by me as i know i will have a big loss in about 2 weeks as it seems like that is the way it has been going--I am 284 now.
But as far as the tests i had --My heart doc says that my stress test was good--but he means that it has not changed for the good nor bad as I have Artery disease and poor circultaion--so my left Ventricle is not pumping the blood i think out at 100%
it is only working at 59% which makes it hard fo rme as i am trying to do more and move more and walk more to get my legs stronger as i have bad diabetic neuropathy and am mostly in the wheel chair--so heart doc is sateisfied with my Stress test results and i will see him again in a year --he thinks that once i lose more weight that everything will get normal-I pray he is right--he is an excellent Heart doc and i trust him.. As for my female probs--the internal ultrasound showed that i have a CYST inside of my left Ovary and Fibroids in and around my Uterus--After calling the Gynecologist 7 times i finally got to talk to her and she is not concerned--she said that i have only a small cyst and the also the fibroids are small--so she wants to keep an eye on things and i have to go back for that very uncomfortable INTERNAL Ultrasound again at the end of October... So i decided to stop worrying about things and see what happensMy biggest problem is that she will not put me on Birth control pills nor will my primary doc cause of the Artery disease i am at much of a higher risk for a blood clot and they do not want to take a chance on me--any doctor really--I am truly blessed that Dr benotti did my Weight loss surgery as i was a super high risk and God Bless him for helping me..Also if it were not for my heart doc giving cardiac clearance i would be dead now==As a few years ago my heart doc gave me a catherization on my heart and he said that if i did not get this weight off soon i will be dead in a few years and he wrote a nice letter to dr benotti explaining how important it was for me to have this surgery..
So now i have Tendonitis in my left ankle and have to wear a black velcro brace on it for a while so its always one thing after another with me--But i cannot sweat the small stuff as my sister in laws mom used to say--
I pray you are doing well-- let me know--Prayers--SUSIE Smith from PA

Sorry I haven't replied sooner. This wedding has me meeting myself coming & going--only 2 more weeks (thank goodness!). I'd love to be added to your friends list. I read some of your other posts. Is the loss of weight helping your leg issues? It definately helped my arthritis in my knees & hips. I'm down 101 lbs as of today. You have done well with your losses...what a drop in sizes. Great job!
NOTE: I had to buy a size 12! Luckily I found an identical dress. Now I have 2 as I didn't make it in time to return the other one (30 day return limit). Oh well.....e-bay here I come!
Hope to hear from you soon. Keep up the good work!
Topic: RE: Century Club!!!
Congrats! I also joined the club this past week! What a thrill to lose 100 lbs. I can't believe I've done it. I still have 15 to goal and hope I make it but if I don't, I feel good where I'm at (146--down from 247). Have loose skin, of course, but hope to tighten it up some and will probably look at plastics in the next year or so.

Bye bye pizza crust or spaghetti....
The pain was so horiible i soooooo do not want even a little of it again.

Hey!
I'm stuck too!! I had my surgery on 2/27/07, and I'm down 75 lbs. I still have a little over 50 to go, but I've been hovering here for most of August and so far Sept. I've really beefed up the exercise and started lifting weights also. I know the scale will start to move again soon, but it is so frustrating. I think it's the 6 month stall!
Topic: RE: Plateau!!!
there are lots of us out there. I also had surgery 2/12 and I am down 77 but I teetered at 202 FOREVER and then 5 pounds fell off. I keep doing that...lose a pound a day for a few days and then stagnate for a few weeks, then lose more. I have hit another plateau at about 187 but I'll take it....Keep at it, dont give up and maybe take your measurements once a month, if you are working out, you may lose inches but not pounds. My doc is always telling me to get off the scale but that is too hard, I just try not to curse at it too much.
