Hello all I am new to this site I set my surgery date this past week for 2/12/07 I cant wait but I am a little nervous and down right scared I hope it is normal to feel this way if anyone needs someone to chat with about our up coming surgeries I will be glad to . We have the same surgery date as well. It is coming up! I got REALLY anxious and scared right after getting my date and thought I was going crazy - I wanted this - now it was happening and then I FREAKED!!!! Now I am much more calm and at peace with my decision and the process. I hope you get there soon! - Feel free to PM me as you go through the varied emotions - I'm here for ya - - as well as the rest of the Feb 07 crew I am sure.

We have the same surgery date as well. It is coming up! I got REALLY anxious and scared right after getting my date and thought I was going crazy - I wanted this - now it was happening and then I FREAKED!!!! Now I am much more calm and at peace with my decision and the process. Congrats Misty! I know it is scarey right after you get the date - - but it has calmed down for most of those I have talked to. It is a BIG decision and congrats for making it! Keep us updated. We are all in this together.

Hey Meghan and Misty! I'm going for lap band too on February 19th. I'd like some buddies too I'm 26 years old too, I'm in wisconsin. I'm getting more nervous, only 5 weeks away, start my pre-op diet tomorrow and in the next few weeks go for labs and meet with my surgeon.

welcome to the feb board. Yes OH is wonderful. You can expect a whole range of emotions between now and then . You can expect lots of support on here. The best way to a quick response is at the main board. Many more people read that and post on that than anywhere else it seems.

welcome to the feb board. You are having surgery the same day as me, but mine is up here in New Jersey. Yes, its nervwracking, and I think it is God's will also. We all go thru alot of different emotions. I was scared of the mortality rate, leaks , blood clots, and the whole nine yards. I got alot of support on here (OH) I think there are some others on our date too.My hubby also works third shift. He never has gone with me yet to any appts or anything. Tomorrow night he is supposed to go with me to support group. (I hope)
