welcome to the Feb board. You are also on my day. Wow......Feb 5th is a popular day. We are lucky because its a monday and our surgeon's will be well rested after the weekend.

Yes you will. If you go to the Spt , Oct boards maybe you can read posts from those folks who had surgery a couple / few months ago who are now eating regular food. That will halp alot more than this board cause nobody here has had their surgery yet.

Hi Lisa,
My surgery is the 5th as well. Everyone here sounds so excited as was I when I first had a date. Now that it is less than 2 weeks away I am terrified. Not of the surgery per se, but the permanance of it. Not being able to eat all those delicious foods again. I know I should have it done. I have to lose 175 lbs! Are you getting those fears too? I really need some advice and support ! Please help me.

Good Luck to you Brigette! My surgery is scheduled for the 5th.
I am really scared. Second thoughts have been running through my head after waiting for this one year now. It is sooo permanent. I know I should have it done. No diet has worked for me. I want to lose 175 -200 lbs. The thought of never eating good food again terrifies me.
How do you get through this? Do you have any advice for me? Are you feeling those same thoughts???

YES!!!!
It took 11 weeks to get approved, but FINALLY, I have a date.
February 26!!! I'll be having Open RNY, not sure if it will be distal or proximal yet.
Hoping my surgeon will yank out my gallbladder while he's in there. We're discussing it.
My Pre-Op tests are scheduled for Valentine's Day.. ;)
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE ELSE WHO WILL BE STARTING THEIR NEW LIFE IN FEBRUARY!
