Argh, I'm sitting here in front of the computer , drinking the last of my pre-midnight liquid diet, and I'm wide awake! I have to wake up in 4 hours (at 4 am), and I'm just so nervous at this point. I ask that all of you who pray, please pray for me tomorrow. I'm sure that these feelings of panic are normal, but I'm just so worried about leaving my 2 babies (4 1/2 years and 11 months) without a mother. I just pray that everything goes smoothly and that God watches over all of us as we go through this life-changing process. I'm sure I'll be on here at the end of the week, reporting that everything's just fine, but for now, this is worse than waiting on Christmas Eve! See you on the losing side, Rae

Hi Vanessa! Good luck with your surgery! I work in Wilkinsburg so yeah we are pretty close. If their is anything I can do please don't hesitate to ask. Do you have an angel? Girl I know all about the hoops. I didn't think that, no I couldn't imagine that this would happen for me, in the back of my mind I knew I would get it (at some point) but I couldn't imagaine how I would feel. It finally happening. I am trying not to think about it so much. Before, I swear I obsessed about it, it was always on my mind, but this time waiting and the emotion roller coaster your on have really been good, because I am 100% sure I want this and I am ready for it (as ready as I can be with all the time it took, it really helped me get educated). If I had gotten it too early, I may not have been ready for it. Some days I wake up and think was I really approved and then I think about all I have done to get to this point. So its a really nice feeling to know you'll soon be a loser. email me if you would like to get together.

I'm supposed to do a "healthy diet" for my pre-op with one of each protein, veggie, and fruit at my 3 meals a day and no snacking...some days I'm right on, others I can't do it! Like you said, if i could follow this, i wouldn't need surgery. I think a liquid diet would be easier than actual food for me. Maybe i should do just protein drinks.

I just started my liquid diet today. It is more to shrink the liver and make it easier for the docs to do there job. I know I won't be perfect..but I am gonna try and stick with it the best I can. If I feel I need something more...I will look for low fat protein choices to fill in. But the plus is you start loosing weight now and less to lose later! Hugs, Cathy

12:45pm is my surgery.They dont want me to eat anything after midnight today.I'm sooo pumped.Cant wait!!!!
