I had surgery Feb 12th and i have been losing the same 5-6 lbs for the last month.. I am getting very discouraged. I have lost 66 lbs since surgery and 95 since January.. I just hope that this is not it for me.. I don't want to be stuck at 200.. I am not perfect and i do have my moments but i don't go over 1000 calories in a day. I drink all my water and protein and i exercise at least 3 times a week.. I am trying to stay positive but it is really hard. Has anyone else experienced the same thing??? April

April I had my surgery on 2/6/2007--I have lost 87 lbs since then and 68 before surgery a total of 155 lbs.. I have had several Plateaus where i stopped losing weight and then had a big loss afterwards--i have gotten a little down about it..-I have never gained any weight tho-- But i see that alot of people have hit plateaus where they did not lose for a little while then had big losses after--I did not see anyone who had gained--i do not understand if you are saying that you have gained and lost the same over and over thats what it seems.. I have consistently been losing--I am tall and my goal weigh tis 198 lbs.. So i would love to be 200 lbs! i started out at 448 lbs when i first started the Gi Nutrtion program in Danville PA lasy year in feb 2006 and now i am finally under 300 lbs!! I am soo happy about that--So now i weigh about 293! i still have 95 lbs to go-- Don ot get discouraged too also you are gaining muscle more than likely from the exercisint you are doing and that is good.. I cannot exercise much cause i have diabetic complications and am not very active--I think i am doing very well for a person who can barely walk--and i keep praying that the neuropathy in my legs and feet will get better.. But anyway--do not get discouraged and do not get obsesed with the scale.. I am praying that you have a big loss! What is your goal anyway? Are u tall or short? I am tall and big boned so it works to my advantage.. Blessings--SUSIE Smith from PA

Thanks for the replies, I do appreciate them. My goal weight is 150 so i have 49lbs to go.When i gained weight i really don't know happened... I think it could have been a scale malfunction because i know that i did not get bigger in size... Maybe water.. I have a friend she hit a good 2 month plateau i am just praying that is what it is a plateau.. I will keep trying and i will not give up. I think that i will put the scales in the trunk of the car in the garage so there not where i can see it everyday. Good luck to both of you.

Hi April, I had my surgery 2/15/07 and have lost 70 pounds. I have tetered back and forth with about 5 or 6 pounds for the past 3 months. So I know how you feel! Hopefully this isn't it. But everybody loses differently. I guess I am a sllllllllllow looser . Anyway, I know it can be discouraging, but try to stay positive and continue to do what your doing.

Good Girl April Put those scales in the trunk of your car honey! They only make us paranoid and upset--Only weigh yourself 1 or 2 times a month and then you will never have to stress over a water weight problem or pms or an incorrect reading and i suggest if you can -get erighed on an appropriate scale like a doctors scale if you can go to a hospital and get permission to use one of their scales--that is best--I have a WW digital scale and as i move it around the floor it says different weights--and i have compared it to the doctors scale and it is off most of the time--but i think i found a good spot on my kitchen floor where it is pretty precise now-as we live in a mobile home and the floors as in a house too are not level all over-this could give a bad reading too--I am praying that you will lose more and not stay at a plateau--i know it can be soo frustrating.. God Bless SUSIE Smith from PA

there are lots of us out there. I also had surgery 2/12 and I am down 77 but I teetered at 202 FOREVER and then 5 pounds fell off. I keep doing that...lose a pound a day for a few days and then stagnate for a few weeks, then lose more. I have hit another plateau at about 187 but I'll take it....Keep at it, dont give up and maybe take your measurements once a month, if you are working out, you may lose inches but not pounds. My doc is always telling me to get off the scale but that is too hard, I just try not to curse at it too much.

Hey! I'm stuck too!! I had my surgery on 2/27/07, and I'm down 75 lbs. I still have a little over 50 to go, but I've been hovering here for most of August and so far Sept. I've really beefed up the exercise and started lifting weights also. I know the scale will start to move again soon, but it is so frustrating. I think it's the 6 month stall!

THANK GOD i'm not the only one! i had surgery 2/15 and have lost 86lbs. However, i've been at this spot for weeks!!! it's very annoying. last time i was on here i felt like i was the only one not losing and got frustrated with the site. however, now i feel like i'm not alone and realize that I'm lucky forlosing as much weight as I have. I often feel fat again. Does anyone have those feelings still? i look down and think....OH MY GOD IT'S COMING BACK! however, i'm a size 16 from 24 and know that can't be true. what's going on in my head?
