How are my fellow SLOW LOSERS doing?
I am a VBG revision, and even though my weight loss has been VERRRRY slow, compared to most first-timers, I still wouldn't trade a thing! Things are going well even though the scale is moving slowly. As of today, I have officially reached my bottom weight of my VBG. (My weight loss stopped at 275 and I stayed there for YEARS before slowly putting all the weight back on and then some.)
I don't know if it's a 5 month post-op thing, but I have started to relax a little. I was so neurotic about getting of my daily protein and water in, that it was driving me and my family a little crazy! I've chilled out a little and I just drink my water and eat as much protein as I can and stop worrying about the rest. I faithfully take my vitamins though and I feel great!
How are my fellow slow losers doing?
Hey there fellow slow losers;
I can totally agree with you! I am about 6 months post op; I have began having vitamin issues. So now I am working on correcting this; because it is very serious! I don't get in all my protein or water all the time. I went on vacation last week; wasn't near a scale at all. Came home totally afraid to get on; but Wow it broke my plateau. I am now a ONELANDER (199.5) for the first time in years! I always get upset reading how well, and quickly others are losing. But we can't judge ourselves by the others. I have lost over 35 inches all over; went from size 24 to a size 16 and sometimes a 14!
We will probably always worry! Let remember the story of the tortiose and the hare!!
Just glad to be even a tortiose!! Keep up the good work gang.. Hang in there. Hugs, Judy R
Hey Judy! I'm with you!! I may not be losing pounds that fast but the inches are going fast! I was wearing a 24 too and last week, I just bought a size 14 skirt and blouse!!! HOOOOORAAY!! And I can definitely see it too!!
So I'm thankful that I'm losing SOMETHING albeit I had hoped to be a lot further along in my progress. But I'm still on track for making the century club before my WLS anniversary next February.
