8 weeks out & down 55lbs.
Almost at 9 weeks out and I've lost 50 pounds according to a scale at regular doctor's office. I don't go back to my WLS doc till May 2nd. And that is my offical scale that I am using to keep up with my weight loss. My surgery was 2-5-07. I keep getting sick with one thing or another. Anyone else running into that?

Honestly I don't really excersize. I do have a 4 year old son who keeps me hopping and we go on long walks together but that is it. Lately I've been eating awful. Easter meant jelly beans which I love. I ate bags of those things. For some reason I can eat and eat them and never get that full sick feeling. I hate health food -vegetables yuk! So I still eat hamburgers and fries but I can only eat a 4th of what I used to eat or I get sick. I did not do the 2 week fast prior to surgery even though I was supposed to so all 55lbs..actually 57lbs. as of this morning, have come off since the surgery. I still feel like it is not coming off fast enough. Can you imagine if I did excersize and eat healthy how much I'd have lost! I figure I have about a hundred more lbs to go at this point which seems like an awful huge amount of weight but for the first time in my life I know I will do it. So far I've lost more then my 4 year old weighs and I can not imagine carrying him around with me all the time. After 100 lbs more I'll float down the street!
I am 8 weeks out too and am down 36 lbs. The scale finally started moving again after a 3 week stall! However, I have lost 36.5 inches total! I think I am more pleased about the inches than the weight. I am so glad I measured myself. It has been a big help during the last 3 weeks. If you haven't measured yourself do it now and you won't feel so bad during stalls.
