Hi everyone! I just found this board with everyone that had surgery in the month of February and I am so excited. I normally post on the Tennessee board and they were all such a big help but to have people that are going through what I am at approximately the same time will be great. I had lap rny on 2/1/07 and I have lost 42 lbs. I am very excited about that! I only have 75 lbs to go to my goal weight which is 140-145. One thing I am having a problem with is that I am so thirsty all the time and just want to chug my water, since I can't I sip it all day and sometimes forget that I need to eat something. Anyone else have this problem? I am wondering if this thirst is normal or if I just drank alot before my suregery. I was a huge soda drinker probably a 12 pack of pepsi a day, and now all I drink is water. Well I can't wait to get to know you all and hope I can help anyone if they need it. Nicole

Hi Nicole, I had surgery on feb. 28 and have lost 17 pounds. On Thurs. I start back to work on light- duty. I miss my diet pop. But I'm being good and drinking the water. Good luck to you. Cindy

I'm forgetting to eat too! Right now, it's easier for me to drink then to worry about what to eat! HA!! From a TMI standpoint, my urine color is darker than I'd like so I've been OBSCESSED with drinking more water to flush my system. You're definitely not the only one!

OMG - I am having the same problem. I'm drinking 32+ oz of water a day, what my surgeon recommended for now (I'm only 3 weeks out) and I am constantly thirsty. Like you, I just want to chug my water, and at times have even forgotten to be careful and taken a big gulp, then ended up with such a stomach ache I needed to lay down to let the water pass. I miss my diet pepsi, but have found Fruit2O is helpful as well as Crystal Light. Julie
