Exactly 1 month & 38 lbs. down!
Today is exactly one month for me and I'm down 38lbs. Yeah! My clothes are starting to hang on me...I love it! I'm amazed at what a breeze this whole surgery has been. One week after surgery and I went on a 3 mile hike with my son. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Had I known it would be this easy I'd have done it ages ago! Only negative is I feel like the weight is not coming off fast enough. I was stuck at 32lbs. for almost 10 days. Finally 6 more came off in the last week. How's everyone else doing who had their surgery on or about the 12th? How much have you lost? How do you feel physically a month later?
I know Exactly how you feel! I had my surgery on the 15th and my first week I lost 24 pounds, then nothing up until last Friday I was down 5 pounds! I was like this is crazy. The clothes thing, well that is something else, I can start to see the change, I actually feel it. And my stomach went down a lot, it is an amazing experience.
I too feel the same about losing too slowly. Maybe we all expect to much or are just too excited to "get on with it already"!
I am 5 weeks post op and I am down 23 pounds since surgery but I lost 15 more on the 2-week presurgery liquid diet. So....do I say I am down 38 pounds or do I say 23 pounds.
My doctor said not to worry about the weight. It WILL fall off.
I have not had one single problem since surgery. It has been a breeze. I like not feeling hungry and I wish that feeling would last forever. Food is not ruling my life now and I am amazed at how much free time I have not "eating".

I too had lap rny 2/15 I am down 30lbs but havent lost weight in 2 weeks but I guess I am losing inches I work ouit 3-4 times a week trying to make it at least 5 but I work full time and have 2 small children. I also am drinkin alot of water and protien. I can eat pretty good I just eat enough to satisfy and that is about it my hips (which I like) are pokin out as my mid section and sides slim down. Im workin on tighten up my thighs since I have always had big thighs. I am excited for my formation process. My cousin had lapband 11/17 and she informed me today before she flew out to Jamaca that she has officially lost 100 lbs today. God is definitly good.

I'm 2 wks out from surgery and feeling great - - just a bit of soreness by the incisions. I have not been sick at all. I am dowm a total of 28 lbs (16 w/ pre-op diet and 12 since surgery).
I agree- I posted a new question similar to this before reading yours because I thought the numbers would be greater.
I am down a total of 32lbs since surgery 5 weeks.
I am losing 3-4lbs a week. Total that is pretty good but on a weekly basis it seems like such a small amount. I have to remember I could never loss 3-4 lbs a week previous to surgery.

How could you possibly feel negative about losing near 40lbs in a MONTH?? I dont get it. Thats a 10lb a week average! If you feel negative about that you need a reality check cuz it will never keep that pace. Please try to be a lil realistic about whats going to happen with your weight loss and you wont feel dissapointed in the future..
It will be a month for me tomorrow (RNY on 27 Feb) and I've lost 37 lb (counting the 2 week pre-op diet). I'm not having any problems really....just so very tired! I know it is because I'm not getting much protein. My program at Scott & White said no protein drinks but all I read says one in the morning. I've been stuck for the past week also but....it will come off!
