I'm on a full liquid diet. I tried eating pudding and cream of wheat and was fine for a couple of days. However, 2 days ago i had that "stuck" feeling and threw up some clumps of things. I'm wondering if i ate too much of the stuff. I didn't feel full. anyway, now i'm just curious what else people are eating on full liquids. i tried all types of yogurts, but i really dont' like yogurt. i also dont like the juices with the artificial sweeteners. i'd rather just drink water with some lemon in it. i'm tired of broth. i'm dying for eggs, cottage cheese, tuna (never really wanted it before), cheese in general, crab. obviously i can't do that. also, does anyone have the belching problem? everytime i eat anything besides water, i have a lot of belching. HELP ME! kim

Have you tried any of the blended soups? Cream of Tomato? Just remember to eat very slowly. Sorry not much help. Hang in there it won't be long before you can advance. Cathy Z.

Kim, Sounds to me like you're either eating too fast or too much. It's really hard to get used to having more "substance" in your new tummy and hard to eat so slow when you have hardly anything to eat. Also make sure your not drinking while your eating. Try to focus on those things and you should feel better. Hope that helps! Shanna http://www.GourmetSoyOnline.com

I did eat a lot of the creamed soups.. for whatever reason i was not to have crm tomato.. i would check with your nut for some suggestions.. try adding some SF jam to your crm of wheat .. it makes it much easier to go down.. SF fudgesicles are good too.. sorry i can't be of much help... i kinda felt similar to you when i was on my full liquid.. there really isn't a lot of variety in food choices... i really like the cookies n' crm protein powder with SF chocolate syrup... my advice would be to measure everything. I had this surgery twice. And the first time I was upped to full liquid I went home and ate an entire pudding cup with room to spare. This time I meassure. I am now a month out of my revision and cant eat much of anything although I am allowed to eat what I want. I want more. That is my addiction to food. also remember, the old "its a tool". It really is. It doesnt work for everyone. Surgery doesnt cure our addiction to food or our lazy streaks. It only helps us curb it. Good luck I really do know how hard it it!

I kinda know about the belching thing. Everytime anything goes down, I have some mid chest discomfort until I belch. Usually one belch is all I take and it goes back to normal, then I can take another bite or sip. If I feel that feeling and I don't belch, I don't put anything else into my mouth until the feeling goes away or I eventually belch. I have bought gas-x strips but haven't needed to try them yet. This issue has gotten a little better over time. However, I'm only 2 1/2 weeks out now. I was able to have cottage cheese and tuna at week two. Can't have eggs yet. Hope you get to feeling better! ...Jill

I hear ya! I literally lived on Gatorade and Vitamin Water for 2 full weeks. Then my husband would make creamy soups and I would have a spoon full here and there and got the pressure in the chest feeling to and figured liquids were the way to go lol. Eventually I started with yogurt, cottage cheese, then Mashed potatoes n gravy from KFC mmmm
