5 or 6 days post opp and what are you eating?!?!
Hi Francesca, I know this is a hard time for everyone because there are very few choices I am eating alot of creamed or strained soups, applesauce, yogurt and yes, suger free puddings...although I have to say I am feeling a little on the week side...cant wait to get more substance in...as far as brands go, I am eating any and all soups, again I strain them all or puree them in a blender if I want to get all those soft veggies and stuff in. In fact tonight I am having this great minestrone from my favorite restaurant but I will strain everything out and only eat the broth
For the applesauce and yogurt, I am eating any applesauce as long as it is unsweetened and I am eating yoplait light yogurt, also all flavors...those are pretty yummy! I love the key lime pie and the mixed berry! good luck...oh and I am also 6 days out.

Hello!
Let me just tell ya, the first 2 weeks were the hardest for me. My diet in those 2 weeks consisted of: meal replacement shakes, broth, sf jello, and sf popsicles...which were my lifesavers!!! Now that I am 3 weeks post op, I am on soft foods...I am eating cottage cheese, refried beans w/ cheese, creamed cauliflower, tuna, yogurt, milk, and a few saltine crackers. I will tell ya once I got on soft foods, watching my kids and hubby eat doesn't bother me at all now. I just feel very satisfied now even though I am eating very little. Also, as far as protein, I just cannot do the nasty shakes any longer, so I discovered the protein bullets. They are 2.5 oz of a fruity liquid. Takes 3 drinks and you are done and have 25 grams of protein!!!!
Take Care,
Lisa
Hi:
I am 3 weeks out today; I see the surgeon on Friday to also get a change in my diet. I am only allowed two 8oz glases of skim milk, 12 oz of broth and Sugar free gelatin and popscicles. Those of you who get soups and applesauce and yougart are very lucky. Next week I get to add applesauce, pears and some soft vegtables to the same diet already mentioned. 5 weeks my diet will change again. It is amazing how each Doctor's diet plan is differnt.
