Home from surgery!

Hi Everyone! Well, I'm glad that step is over with. Now I'm with everyone else on here with getting rid of gas and pooping..... So, far I think I'm doing well, just can't sleep in my bed yet.....recliner is giving me sleep, but killing my back. Can't have everything I guess. At least, I'm getting sleep.......those nurses won't let you sleep in the hospital. Anyway, good to hear everyone so far is ok. Keep posting. Hang in there Shelley! Good to hear you are home. I'm sorry that you can't get comfy, though. I remember having to sleep on one side all the time, as the side that had the port was very sore. did they send you home with any pain meds?? Give it a few days and you will be fine! Get plenty of rest Linda G

Hi Linda: Thanks, yes they did send me home with the lovely tasting liquid pain medicine. I'm doing better today, and I know each day will get better and easier. I'm going to try and go back to work tomorrow. We'll see how that goes! Anyway, keep in touch. Cathy

Hello, congatulations that your home, i had my surgery this past fri (Feb 23) and I feel justr like you. Gas oh man, is killing me.....i even went back to the ER and they gave me liquid mylanta and it works so try that. Anyway wish you luck.
