Head Cold

I can't believe I've caught a cold!! I'm scheduled for surgery on Tuesday and am so afraid they are going to cancel it. I bought Airborne, Zicam, and Vit C last night to help clear it up. Anybody have any other ideas?

I got a sinus infection 2 weeks before surgery and they delayed mine a week. They are so concerned about pneumonia and have you doing breathing tests every hour on the hour that they probably will delay. You would not want them to do it when you are not 100% anyway. Good luck. You'll get there.

Hey Donna - I am coming down with a cold as well Can you believe it? Our surgeries are on the same day and this is what I have feared. Actually, this is the only thing that I feared! I do not have any symptoms other than my nose feeling like it is loaded (I know - TMI) and my throat feeling scratchy. I hope that is as far as it goes. I will take some airborne, drink lots of fluids and get rest. I hope to nip it in the bud, but the weather is so crazy here. Good luck and God speed. Talk to you soon. V

Well, I went to the Dr yesterday to ensure it wasn't a sinus infection or something. He said my lungs & ears are clear but he gave me a prescription for antibiotics "just in case" to clear anything up that might be trying to start. I figure if something does after Airborne, Zycam, Vit C, and Amoxacillan.....well, it just wasn't meant to be on Tuesday! Good luck to us all!!
