OK I have been the biggest cynic since having this surgery. Don't get me wrong, last week sucked! Surgery on the 12th then I went a little nutty from withdrawal from my narcolepsy medications, the pain was worse then imagined...blah, blah, blah. Then I woke up today, exactly week to the day and I was laying on my stomache. I then got out of bed ...no pain..none. My narcolepsy meds are back in whack. After not being out of the house except for the hospital for a week I took my son to the park all afternoon before my dr.s appt. Got on the scale -20lbs down!!!!

Wow.....my surgery was on the 12th as well and you are far beyond me. I think I really overdid myself yesterday being out for so long, shopping, driving forever, etc.. I do still have pain, no where what I had before but i feel it constantly, especially when I stand or sit, or try to get in bed. Congratulations to you on recovering so quickly, and 20 lbs is just AMAZING. Be proud, its a tough road, and the victories are just beginning!

Nope no pain. I even ate strawberries yesterday without any problem. Spent yesterday moving huge heavy boxes into storage and all day today vacuuming and shampooing carpets. Now I'm down 26lbs. This is my kind of diet!!!!

Good job I am 6 days out without complications and lost 15 from liquid diet and 10 since surgery. What did your doc say you could eat week 2?

Doc said to stick with pureed sugar free foods, I have been living on sugar free chocolate fudge pops.

BJ dont over do it! Moving boxes and eatins strawberries one week post op isnt the norm that i read on these forums. PLease be careful and follow your surgeons guidelines regardless of how good you feel today.
