Hello everyone! I'm 21 and I currently wieght 295 and my surgery is Friday. I'm sooooo nervious! I never had surgery before and I hate hospitals with a passion. I wanted it liposcopically but It's going to be open procedure. I'm so nerivous, its really stressing me out! My mom had it in 2000 and lost 125 lbs. She told me that its not going to be easy the first couple weeks. I just be glad when its over.....Are there anyone else in my shoes right now?

Crystal I'm not in your shoes right now, but I was on Feb 8th. I live here in raleigh and had my surgery done with DUKE. I was not a open procedure...but its' still surgery and I did have pain that I thought would never go away. I felt the same as you . I just wanted to get it over with . I was nervous, stressd out, could not sleep. But all that is normal to have. Just know that you are doing somethin to give yourself a better and more healthy life. I wish you all the best wishes on a speedy recovery. I know that you will do well. Stephanie
