questions from a newby..anyone have lap band surg in East TN

How do you know which doctor to choose? I am considering the lapband because of health issues but I don't know anyone who has had this surgery. I wondered how rough it is..Any info would be appreciated.

Joann, I checked with my insurance and also checked this site to see who had the surgery with the same insurance and who they used. While researching my insurance I looked at numerous doctors on this site and finally decided on the group that I liked the best. I hope this helps as it is kinda vague.

Hi Joann, there is a lapband forum where everyone would be happy to answer any questions you might have. We have a great group of people on there that really care about each other and are so supportive. You will learn alot just by reading the boards if your not a big poster.
