23 hours and 55 minutes to go!!!!
You guys are so lucky to be so close. I have to wait until Feb 21st. This is after rescheduling from Jan 31st (less than 24 hrs before surgery) because of a sinus infection. You guys will do great. I know how nerve wrecked you all are. When I'm laid up in the hospital bed, you guys will be walking around at home recovering nicely. Please be sure to keep us all updated on how things go for you in the hospital. I'll say a prayer for each of you!

Hey you guys....I was a nervous wreck if anyone was. I just had my surgery last monday the 5th.
It is nothing as scary as we imagine....trust me. I wish I knew it for the past few months when I was TERRIFIED.....
You get a drug to relax you once you get admitted, changed into gown, etd. The anesthesiologist then comes to speak with you and gives you something mild but very effective. The next thing you know your going into the OR and waking up in recovery. The whole time you are either drugged up or being pampered...and home before you know it.
The main thing to remember is to walk, walk, walk, as soon as you can, as much as you can. The gas is truly worse than the surgery cause you know they blow up your abdomen with air to do their work..... The barium tastes awful when you do the leak test but it has to be done. Then once you pass it and you can have water sip, and you will burp.
I'll keep you all in my prayers.
God bless each and everyone of you

Hey, my surgery is tomorrow too and I am not having any doubta or reservations just anxiousness. Why is this day going by so slow? I am starting to get a bit cold and shaky since all I have had all day is gatorade and water. I am dreaming of a tuna fish sandwich of all things!! Anyway I have to be at the hospital by 6:00 in the morning and they said to expect to be in the OR by 7:30. Getting closer by the min.....just wish the whole hospital part would hurry up and be over with so I can adjust to my new lifestyle already!!!!! Good luck to all my fellow comrades.....we should all check back in soon with updates!!
Wow I'm glad I'm not going to be alone tomorrow morning at 6am hehe. Surgery wont start till 9 though. My hubby just made himself a salad and I was drooling. I started today at 3pm with the magnesium citrate and liguid diet I threw that up within an hour and havent stopped going to the bathroom since sorry TMI. Why didnt anyone warn me about this lol. Well like you I cant wait to get in there and start my new life. GOOD LUCK and I'll see you over at the losers bench tomorrow afternoon
You drink it straight then follow up with 8 oz's of water and within a few hours you should be going like you've never gone before....Just a bit of advice buy tucks medicated wipes for just in case. TMI but I spent the whole afternoon and evening in the bathroom and I was very sore. Good luck on your upcoming surgery.
