Feb 7th

Was given a date of Feb 7th... Scared ****less LOL

Hi Brian, I must congradulate you on your decsision on having weight loss surgery. I had my surgery on feb 7th 2006. That was my rebirth. I weighed 311 lbs I now weigh 190!. I must tell you that I was scared ****less too but remember the benefits outweighs the risks. I was very very lucky, I did not have any problems post op. the only problem I have is Learning to eat slowly...As a nurse it is sometimes very difficult but I work on that every day. also I go to the gym mon-fri I have not regrets....A woman @ the support group I attend said "nothing taste better than thin feels" God bless you..I want you to keep in touch with me (read my bio)..Sue Napolitano, Brick NJ PS trying to learn to post my before and after pics. my niece will help me over the weekend....

Hi Brian, I am having surgery 2 days before you on the 5th. I was scared to death too, but now I have replaced my fear with faith. .....and I am a Christian. I just couldnt get peace about this for months. I read alot of profiles on here, and every single one said they had no regrets, at all and would do it again in a heartbeat. ..even the ones who later had complications, still did not regret it. Do yourself a big favor and find a support group or two in your area ASAP, you will find alot of help there....you'll meet people who have gone thru it, and you'll hear all the good stuff. Do you read journeys? Do you know the before and after photos when you sign on and then click on "Home" the before and after photos come up., You can clik on any photo and that persons journal/blog will appear. Try doing that . You have time to get ready. God bless Cissy

My date has been pushed back to the 14th which is a good thing as i now the the specific Doc i wanted. Deb, i live further south in Saint Lucie County

I will have the surgery in Scottsdale, Arizona on February 7th. I too was very afraid for weeks and then magically yesterday I reached calm water. I am not sure if it is a spiritual epiphany or just my passion and desire for this life saving procedure has finally taken hold of my nerves..but I am glad for the sense of peace I now have. Two weeks from today I may be eating my words...but for now it looks like smooth sailing. I hope the best for you and will light a special candle for your losing future!
