Yeah I have a surgery date 2-12-07

Hello all I am new to this site I set my surgery date this past week for 2/12/07 I cant wait but I am a little nervous and down right scared I hope it is normal to feel this way if anyone needs someone to chat with about our up coming surgeries I will be glad to . Good morning Melissa, My date is 27 Feb. Like you, I'm also nervous and very scared. I've been told that is normal. Overriding those emotions are excitement and worry about the future. Do you have to do the 2-week liquid protein diet prior to surgery? I tried it last week for a day (to get a taste of the stuff--not bad actually).....and found it harder than I thought it would be. I wanted SALT.....which was weird as I never use salt on foods. When are your pre-op appts? Mine are on Feb 12th....I'll be thinking of you!

AWESOME! I get to schedule my date on Wednesday. I'm hoping for 2/12 as well...would love to do it sooner, but alas that darn work ethic (ha ha) is hanging around so 2/12 is the best date for me. Hopefully the surgeon has times open that day! Dawn

Dawn Good Luck I hope you get the date you are wanting I could have done it sooner like Jan.29 but husband wanted me to wait so I did but truthfully he doesn't want me to have it period but I am doing this for me so I am going to any way but I wish you luck Hope to hear from you again bye bye Melissa

Hello Melissa, I too have 2-12-07 as my surgery date. We will both be joining the loosers bench together. I'm very nervous and scared too. I have never had major surgery that I was put under. I had a c-section put of course I had a spinal and was a wake for that. So I would love to chat with you anytime you would like. I'm going for my presurgical testing the 29th of this month. I feel like I've been living just for testing, but it will all be worth it. I wish you well and a speedy recovery and an uneventful surgery. I lookforward to hearing from you. Alees

hello nice to hear from you I had to change my surgery date today because I made a mistake when I was looking at my husbands schedule and had to move it forward a week so I will now have it on the 19th I have had a few surgeries in my life and I also had 2 c-sections, 2 back surgeries and my gall bladder removed but I am still scared it is weird how you can be excited and scared about the same thing I dont know about the protein diet yet I have a meeting with my surgeon on the 31st so I will find out more then I hope I will chat anytime you would like Good Luck in your surgery and I will keep you in my thoughts Melissa

My date is 2/13 so we'll be pretty close to each other...Still 26 days away (not that I'm counting).
